Tutor – This is pretty much a selective type of business. You want to make sure that you are clear on the needs of your clients. If you are not sure, you don’t want to go down this road. Tutoring is something that can be done well and can be profitable so long as you are truly an expert on the subject.

Wedding Planner –This is a great business to do at home. But bear in mind that you at some point and time are going to have to meet with the client in person. While most home based businesses do not require you to meet with your clients, this one does. But it’s a great business to have.

Web design – This is an outstanding business to be involved in, but you really have to know your web design. Be sure that if you go into business with someone you are clear on what their expectations are and that you can meet them. This way you can ensure that your clientele will increase. And increase clientele means more business and more business means more money and that’s always a good thing.

Accountant – This truly is a specialty field. If you are a CPA this is a good home based business for you. You can pick and choose when and who you work for. And the beauty of being a CPA is that you can work for larger companies as a consultant. This allows you a lot more freedom and flexibility. Something that you don’t always have when you work for a larger business

Network Marketing aka MLM – this is my personal favorite since I’ve been full time at it for well over 20 years now and because it is a home-based business where anyone can compete if they put in the effort as in any good business plan. It usually is a business-distribution company that enables the parent company to market its products directly to consumers by way of direct selling and personal referrals . Independent distributors of a particular company develop their organizations by either growing their active customer base, who buy direct from the parent company, or by sponsoring/recruiting a downline organization of independent distributors who also build a customer base, thereby expanding the overall total of their organization. Whats more, distributors also earn a profit by retailing products they purchased from the parent company at wholesale prices. Distributors earn a commission based on the sales efforts of their organization, which includes their independent sale efforts as well as the leveraged sales efforts of their downline. This is very similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchisor as well as to an area or region manager. Would you rather be paid on 100% on your effort only or 10% on the efforts of ten other people? I did the math and I know what I chose 20 something years ago and have been blessed ever since.
